Master Your Metabolism Class
“Doc, I want to lose weight!”. “Why is it that I can’t seem to lose weight?”. This is a daily cry from the clients I see in my practice. And it makes sense! Our food system is toxic, stress levels are at an all-time high, and thyroid conditions are through the roof!
Obesity and severe weight gain went up 12% in less than 20 years. As of about four years ago, one in three adults was overweight, and two out of five adults were considered obese. And just as we live in a culture of appreciating all types of bodies (yeah! That’s incredible!), fat around our organs is not a body image issue. It’s downright unhealthy. And it’s killing us.
Although the American diet and sedentary lifestyles are problematic, there are many other issues at play, such as toxicity, thyroid concerns, elevated cortisol, hormonal imbalance, food sensitivities, mitochondrial dysfunction, sympathetic dominance, and many more.
Most of us already know some of the most basic principles of weight loss, such as watching what we eat and moving more. But sometimes the usual approaches no longer work, and the weight simply won’t come off. Individualizing the approach is the way through.
Join Dr. Mel deBoer, ND, RN and CrossFit athlete in this workshop for optimizing metabolism. As a recovering bulemic, this topic is near and dear to my heart. We’ll cover metabolism from a lens of recovering from food trauma (anybody out there with diet-obsessed mothers in childhood?!) as well as the physiological, emotional, and mental matters behind weight gain or an inability to lose weight and remedy options for an individualized approach.

Wildly Connected Couples Workshop
The more beautiful world we know is possible starts with the more loving relationships we create inside our own homes. What would it look like to cultivate deep intimacy through healing communication and strengthened bonds?
In this workshop, Jase and Dr. Mel will offer practices for partners to work together privately using small mindset shifts to create massive improvements in understanding and communication. These practical techniques can be applied after the workshop to continue to build trust, deepen intimacy, and express individuality within the context of coupledom.
This is not couples therapy. This is relationship reimagined.
After marrying at the tender age of 21, Mel and Jase found their relationship at a breaking point after 10 years. Applying the communication techniques found in this workshop has helped to heal our own personal wounds and formed new pathways of understanding one another, in all of our human messiness. Now married for 20 years, Mel and Jase offer these practices to others in workshops and on their podcast Wildly Connected.
Join us here! Only 1 ticket is needed per couple.
Wild Medicine
Join Mel and Tabitha, NOLS wilderness first aid certified registered nurses, for a day of wild medicine. We will be talking about assessing, stabilizing, and understanding injuries and incidents that happen in the home and on backpacking adventures. We will discuss herbal, mushroom, and homeopathic remedies for treating various conditions from burns, fractures, wounds, shock, and more. In this workshop, you will learn how to care holistically for your family when emergencies happen. Because they do (yep-we are both mothers). We are offering the opportunity to learn to keep yourself calm, treat holistically, and know when to seek higher medical attention.
After the workshop, join us for more natural health question and answer time as we sauna and cold plunge around a fire.
